cobalt blue blazer

Inspiration:

GUNMETAL. My buttons are made of metal from guns! There’s a slight chance that ‘gunmetal’ may just be the name of the color of the buttons. I’m not going to subscribe to that line of thinking, however, because it diminishes the badassness of my GUNMETAL BUTTONS.

No pockets for me. I just didn’t like them and frankly, I’m always in a rush to finish a project once I start.

The fabric is wool suiting from Sewfisticated Fabrics in Somerville, MA. I miss that store and it’s low prices. You know what else I’m missing out on? Aerosmith having a concert in my former neighborhood, Allston.
Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler made an impromptu stop Saturday morning at the Allston apartment building he and his band mates lived in when they started their journey to become one of the most successful rock bands ever, according to one of the rental property’s owners.
Tyler’s visit came two days before he and the rest of Aerosmith plan to perform a free concert outside of 1325 Commonwealth Ave.
Free concert a mere 4 blocks away from my first apartment!

I love the colour of this blazer! The gunmetal buttons are really great and give everything a polished finish. Love your work on this

Very cute! My sister is making this for me tonight. I know I’m going to want to curve in the waist a bit but it looks like a great first jacket to make. Thanks for posting!
